Production Manager
Lightcatcher is looking for an experienced Production Manager for our “Little Margo Stories” series. Successful candidates will have a proven track record in looking after teams of artists and liaising with all departments and stakeholders. This position will have oversight on all aspects of the production and report directly to the Producer. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, alongside the ability to keep the team organized and motivated to do their best work possible.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Producer to ensure the overall production milestones and creative goals are met (showing full understanding of the production schedule)
- Work with production coordinators to oversee and track the detailed status of each episode, this includes various tracking sheets and reports
- Support and facilitate the department leads/supervisors to manage their team and workload effectively
- Review client/partner notes with the team and delegate the work accordingly
- Flag to Producer and other key stakeholders if work and/or notes are going beyond scope
- Actively participate in production and department meetings, prepare action plans
- Address questions and concerns from key stakeholders, producers, clients/partners
- Report all episodic and department status to Producer and Creative Team
- Be a leader and shining example of representing Lightcatcher’s culture and philosophies among team members
- Offer a supportive space for all team members to express their ideas or concerns
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), includes spelling and grammar
- Able to interpret from a group meeting what the action items are, and how to disseminate that information in an appropriate manner
- Understanding of which members of the team need which information to be able to effectively work on tasks
- Able to make projections and forecast any difficulties ahead of time, flag when submissions or deadline are at risk, and subsequently offer possible solutions
- Manage multiple requests, emails, chats, etc and then be able to prioritize
- Naturally projects a calm, professional and engaged tone at all times
- Ability to read subtle cues of the crew, show a keen sense of awareness of each team member
- Can collaborate with other crew in an open, respectful manner
- Comfortable with a face-paced environment of emails and chats, without showing stress
- Proven ability to work with a group to solve complex production issues
- Comfortable with change and willing to adapt quickly with ease
Skills/Experience
- Ideally 4-5 years of experience or equivalent production knowledge proven across several projects in the digital, animation or post production space
- A thorough understanding of all steps of a CG television production pipeline
- Hands on experience with Flow (ShotGrid), Google Suite, Syncsketch, MS Office, Windows
Salary
- Salary Range: $1850 – $2000 CAD per week
